EVEN Accreditation

Recognising organisations committed to equity through thoughtful and more even naming practices.

Accreditation pathway

A structured route from commitment to leadership.

EVEN Accreditation recognises organisations that commit to more respectful naming practices and then build the confidence, consistency, and leadership to embed them across real-world systems.

The pathway is designed to help organisations move at a credible pace while staying aligned with the Even Charter and the wider EVEN mission.

Progression moves from commitment through implementation and embedding to leadership.

What each tier means

Each tier marks a different stage of maturity, from first commitment through to network leadership.

Bronze (Tier 1)

Now open

Bronze Accreditation recognises organisations that have made a formal commitment to the EVEN Charter. It reflects a willingness to review existing naming conventions and begin taking steps towards more equitable and thoughtful practices.

Organisations at this stage are building awareness, starting internal conversations, and laying the foundations for future development.

Founding organisations shaping the future of equitable naming.

Silver (Tier 2)

Coming soon

Silver Accreditation will recognise organisations that are actively engaging with their naming practices and beginning to implement change.

This includes reviewing systems, updating language, and embedding awareness across teams and structures.

Gold (Tier 3)

In development

Gold Accreditation will recognise organisations that have embedded EVEN Charter principles across their policies, culture, and day-to-day practice.

At this stage, equitable naming is consistent, intentional, and reflected across the organisation.

Platinum (Tier 4)

By invitation

Platinum organisations act as leaders within the EVEN network. They mentor others, host events, and contribute to the wider development of equitable practices across sectors.

These organisations play a key role in shaping the future direction of the EVEN Charter.
